Working Groups
Seven interdisciplinary working groups (WG) comprised of experts from science, businesses of various sizes and from different industries, government and civil society discuss ideas that are related to the development and introduction of self-learning systems. The groups identify action areas and develop joint positions, concrete application scenarios, and practical recommendations.

Methods
The working groups use specific everyday scenarios to illustrate the potential benefits that learning systems promise for people and society. They also identify unresolved issues and challenges and technical, legal and ethical constraints associated with using artificial intelligence. The individual working groups regularly share information and ideas on these topics and, in so doing, pool their respective expertise. Adopting joint positions, they identify areas where action is needed, present roadmaps and produce recommendations and targets for implementing learning systems in relation to areas such as research, technological development, law and society.
