Collection of general information

Information of a general nature is collected automatically when you access our website. This information (server log files) comprises e.g. the type of web browser, the operating system used or the domain name of your Internet service provider. No information is collected that might allow you to be identified. This information is a technological requirement to ensure the correct delivery of the requested website content and is automatically generated when you use the Internet. We make use of such anonymous information for statistical evaluation purposes to optimize our website and the technology behind it.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter the data you provide will be used for this purpose only. Subscribers may also receive information by e-mail about this service or registration (e.g. changes to the newsletter or technical details).

We require a valid e-mail address to complete registration. To verify that a registration was in fact made by the person associated with the e-mail address provided, we use the double opt-in process, which creates a record of your subscription request and a confirmation e-mail requiring the subscriber to authenticate the e-mail address. No further data is collected. All data is used exclusively for the newsletter distribution and is not transmitted to third parties.

Your agreement to store the data as well as the use of such data for sending the newsletter may be revoked at any time. A link to unsubscribe will be included in all mailings. You can also unsubscribe directly on this website or notify us accordingly (see contact information below).

Contact form

If you contact us by e-mail or by using the contact form, your data will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and for possible follow-up queries.

Blocking/Deletion of Data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. Hence, we do not store your personal data any longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes mentioned above or than is required by the different legally specified retention periods. After cessation of the respective purpose or expiry of these retention periods, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the legal provisions.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics tool from Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses “cookies’’, or text files which are stored on your workstation and help analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is transferred and stored on a Google server in the USA. Because IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will truncate IP addresses with the Member States of the European Union or EEA signatory states prior to storage. In exceptional cases only will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated abbreviated there. Google makes use of this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate the use of their website, to generate reports about website traffic, and to provide the website operator with further services associated with use of the website and the Internet. The IP address which Google Analytics transmits from your browser is not associated with any other data held by Google. Although you can adjust your browser software to prevent the installation of cookies, please note that you might then not be able to make full use of all the functions of this website. In addition, Google offers a browser plug-in which prevents the transmission and processing of the data generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google. It can be downloaded and installed here: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

In addition or alternatively to the browser add-on, you can disable tracking by Google Analytics by clicking on this Link . This will install an opt-out cookie on your workstation. Tracking by Google Analytics for this website and for this browser will remain disabled as long as the cookie is installed in your browser.

Cookies

Like many other website operators, we use cookies on our website. These are small text files that are transferred from a web server to the hard disk of your workstation. As a result, we automatically receive certain data concerning your computer and your connection to the Internet, e.g. IP address, browser used, and operating system.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or put viruses on a computer. The information contained in cookies makes it easier for you to navigate the web and facilitates the correct display of our website. Under no circumstances shall the data collected be passed on to third parties nor shall a link be established with personal information without your explicit permission.

Of course you can also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are normally configured to accept cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies by adjusting your browser settings at any time. Please use your web browser’s help menu to learn how to change these settings. Please note that some of the features of our website may not be accessible if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

Your rights of access, rectification, blocking, deletion and objection

You may, at any time, claim whether we have stored personal data referring to you and what this data involves. Likewise, you have the right to demand correction, blocking or deletion (apart from the mandatory data storage for business transactions) of your personal data. Such requests are to be placed with our data protection office. See bottom of the page for contact details.

In order to enable the blocking of data at any time, the data in question must be available on a black list for control purposes. You can also request the deletion of the data, unless this is excluded by a legal archiving obligation. Should such an obligation exist, we will, on request, block your data.

You can make changes or revoke your permission by sending us notification thereof. Such changes will apply to subsequent transactions.

Changes to our privacy policy

We reserve the right to occasionally adapt this privacy statement to ensure its compliance with the current legal requirements or to reflect changes in our services, e.g. upon the introduction of new services. Any renewed visit to our site will then be subject to the new privacy policy.
